Medical Billing Errors & Omissions coverage is provided to our membership at no additional charge as long as the hospital has been members for five plus years.  In the absence of a five-year tenure, members may purchase the product directly from Yellowstone for a percentage of their primary policy's premium.

Medical Billing Errors and Omissions Policies provide coverage for common regulatory actions such as, Recovery Audit Contractors Program Audits (RAC), Medicare audits, Allegations of Non-Compliant Patient Referrals (STARK), Emergency Room Treatment (EMTALA), and alleged violations of Patient Privacy (HIPPA).

 

As part of the coverage and included within the limits of liability are any defense costs associated with the above. You will also have access to leading specialists in the area of RAC as well as shadow audit teams to respond to any allegations under the Federal False Claims Act. You will be assigned defense counsel with special expertise in this field.
